Hey there, my awesome readers! I know, I know – it’s been like, what, 4 months since my last post on this category? My bad, my bad. Life’s just been kicking my butt lately, you know? Between work deadlines, personal family stuff, and just general adulting chaos, I feel like I’ve been running on empty. But I’m back now, and I think everything is finally starting to settle down. Phew!
It’s funny how life can just sweep you off your feet sometimes, isn’t it? One minute you’re cruising along, feeling like you’ve got it all under control, and the next minute – BAM! – the wheels come flying off and you’re just trying to keep from careening off the rails. That’s kind of how it’s been for me the past few months. But you know what they say – what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right? And I’ll be darned if I’m going to let a few bumps in the road take me down.
Speaking of personal stuff, I’ll admit – I still find myself missing her every now and then. I know, I know, I shouldn’t dwell on the past, but sometimes those memories just have a way of sneaking up on you, you know? It’s like one minute I’m just going about my day, and then BOOM – I’ll see or read something that reminds me of her, and suddenly I’m right back there, feeling all the feels. But hey, that’s just part of the journey, isn’t it? We all have those moments where we can’t help but look back and wonder “what if?” But I’m doing okay, really. Just taking it one day at a time.
In other news, I’ve been having fun playing around with my server setup. Yep, I finally decided to migrate from good old LAMP to the OpenLiteSpeed platform. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, I’ll admit. I mean, I’m not exactly a tech wizard, so wrapping my head around all the nitty-gritty details has been a bit of a challenge. But hey, that’s how we grow, am I right? Gotta keep those tech skills sharp, you know? And who knows, maybe I’ll even impress some of my more tech-savvy friends with my newfound OpenLiteSpeed expertise. Or, you know, they’ll just laugh and tell me I’m still a noob. Either way, it’s been a fun adventure.
And you know what else I’ve been up to? Moving my audio files over to SoundCloud. Figured it would help my site load a bit faster, you know? Not lightning fast, mind you, but still a noticeable improvement. Can’t have my readers waiting around forever, after all. Plus, SoundCloud has some pretty cool features that I’m excited to play around with. Maybe I’ll even start sharing some of my own musical musings, who knows?
Oh, and I also went ahead and snagged a Google Workspace account. Gotta make sure I’ve got all my important stuff backed up, am I right? Can’t be too careful these days, you know? Between all the ransomware attacks and data breaches and whatnot, I figured it was high time I started getting serious about my online security. Plus, having all my documents, spreadsheets, and whatnot synced across my devices is a total game-changer. No more hunting around for that one file I need – it’s all right there at my fingertips.
Anyway, that’s the scoop, folks. I’m back, I’m (mostly) in one piece, and I’m ready to start sharing some more awesome content with you all (perhaps).
